March 22, 2018Man of the Year 2018

Like so many, Ian's life has been impacted by the cancer journeys of people he loves. Sharing a passion for the fine arts, his grandmother Fulvia Grimaldi-Ramirez, a blonde-haired, blue-eyed ballerina from Monaco, lost her battle with Leukemia in 1977 and passed away before he was born. She never had the pleasure of hearing her grandson’s voice or to hear him sing on the international operatic stage.

Recently, he has been given an incredible opportunity to raise his voice against this awful disease and take action in finding a cure that claimed the life of Fulvia. He is humbled and excited to announce that he is a candidate for the 2018 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man & Woman of the Year competition, a national fundraising campaign that focuses on raising funds, awareness, and advocacy for those battling blood cancers.
